<dc:title>Letter from J H [John Henry] Poynting, 10 Ampton Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>Poynting sends a draft of a paper on the wave motion of a revolving shaft [not present], asking Larmor to look at it and tell him if the subject is new, or if it has been done before. The end of the paper is most interesting 'if true and new', showing that a circular current has angular momentum. Asking 'Is this rubbish?' he would be grateful for any comments.

With notes in pencil by Joseph Larmor. </dc:description>
