Letter from C[harles Edward] Trevelyan, Treasury Chambers, to [William Sharpey] the Secretary of the Royal Society Acquaints that upon the understanding stated in a previous letter by Sharpey, the Registrar of the London University has no objection to the arrangement (in regards to the Learned Societies using Burlington House). The Lords Commissioners have directed the First Commissioner of Works to give instructions for putting the Royal Society into possession of the three rooms assigned to them at Burlington House. 19 August 1856
