Letter from J W Snowdon, 8, The Pavement, Finsbury, London, to Walter White Sends drugget patterns, which he has doubts about being the best articles for White's purposes and whether they would ultimately prove satisfactory. States that the floors at Burlington House are too large and the drugget is not elastic and will break up. The only druggets thick enough for him to consider are only meant for layers over another carpet. Has consulted with a gentleman who is connected with a large manufacturing firm of carpets and druggets and this man shared his opinion. Suggests another type of carpet. 20 May 1873
