<dc:title>Letter from Charles Barry, 1, Westminster Chambers, Victoria Street, Westminster, to Walter White, Royal Society, B[urlington] House</dc:title>
<dc:description> Is replying to White's letters of 8 and 9 October regarding item number 17 (the shelves). Refers to his previous letter to William Spottiswoode [see MS/755/66] and reiterates that he would have been happy to comply with any requests except for those not within the scope of the contracts. States the estimate for the works was £22 10s. Has received no reply to his letter on the estimate. Assumed White was satisfied with the matter as he heard the work on the shelves had been recently ordered. Is told the other matters referred to by White in his letter of 8 October are all done, and that the depth of the cases are in accordance to the original instructions.</dc:description>
