<dc:title>Letter from Edmund Prideaux, Paris, [France], to [Martin Folkes]</dc:title>
<dc:description>Reports that he and Humph. [Humphrey Prideaux] have seen almost everything in Paris and will soon head south. Prideaux will make use of Walters to forward letters to him as long as he is in France. Has sent Folkes a bill to be paid to Mr Jackson's correspondent in London. Prideaux laments the prospect of a war but will continue his tour in France and hopes war will not come to pass. Is enclosing a letter to his steward in the country which he asks Folkes to read and forward on to Mr Henry Williams at Padstow near St Columbe, Cornwall [enclosure not present]. Muses on how best to send Folkes some unspecified small books. Has passed on Folke's messages to Montesquieu [Charles Louis de Secondat, Baron de La Brède et de Montesquieu] and Mr Frampton at St Clou. Notes that his son [Humphrey Prideaux] has heard from Folkes' son [Martin Folkes] and sends his regards to Mr Graham and Folkes' family. </dc:description>
