<dc:title>Letter, Henry Hallett Dale, Secretary, the Royal Society, Burlington House, to Percy George Hamnall Boswell</dc:title>
<dc:description>On 31 October, Council of the Royal Society discussed the question of whether they should appoint a committee, or appoint a representative to a committee created by another body, with regard to Leakey's claims and Boswell's findings on them. Council decided it should adhere to the principle never to give a corporate opinion with regard to scientific matters of controversy or interest. They will not constitute a committee, but the matter is one for open discussion, either in a public scientific meeting or through the scientific press. </dc:description>
