Copy letter, Percy George Hamnall Boswell, to Albert Charles Seward, the Master's Lodge, Downing College, Cambridge He thinks that the course Seward proposes to adopt with regard to Leakey's grant application is a wise one. Leakey's letter to Boswell answers some of the questions that Seward asked and he encloses a copy. Hopwood is to do fauna and that should be beyond cavil. Boswell would like to read Reck's chapter on geology, but that will not be controversial, as Reck agrees that 'Oldoway Man' is a relatively late burial. Seward should ask someone like Miles Burkitt to read Leakey's chapters on culture sequences. Boswell would like to read these too, to ensure that there are no ambiguous statements or notes open to misinterpretation. The book may well become a standard work of reference. He hopes that Leakey's style will not be too journalistic. 25 May 1936
