<dc:title>Report by Henry Balfour on a paper [or book?] by Louis Leakey </dc:title>
<dc:description>A critique for Council of the Royal Society, intended to aid in the decision on Louis Leakey's application for a Publication Grant. The reviewer states that 'Dr. Leakey's paper is both enlightening and provocative...[but] it appears to have been very hurridly put together in somewhat slipshod fashion'. He recommends that consideration of a grant should be deferred but not dropped and that the author should re-submit after proper revision. With a response from Louis Leakey, defending the work and stating that he is sailing for Kenya soon, and would appreciate a decision on the grant rather than it being deferred to a future Council.

Annotated in ink, 30 June: 'Boswell supports application for grant for description of 'culture sequences' but would like to see Reck's chapter'. </dc:description>
