<dc:title>Letter from William Holman Hunt, Draycott Lodge, Fulham, to Charles Vernon Boys</dc:title>
<dc:description>The absence from town of Mr Cunnynghame has given Hunt some difficulty in enlarging his study of chorister boys singing on Magdelene Tower ['May Morning on Magdelene Tower', 1888-1890]. He was to have employed an optical technique using a photographic lens devised for 'The Lady of Shalott', but he did not take note of the special arrangement. Asks Boys to direct him to someone who could take a photograph of his picture and arrange it in a magic lantern so that he might outline the big canvas under favourable conditions. The great need would be to correct any distortion at the outer edges of the image. </dc:description>
