Notes that it was not a result of the internal insulation of the transformer having broken down, but a result of a brush discharge between the exterior of the transformer and the rest of the mechanism. Notes that they are now improving the design in order to safeguard the transformer at these points, and once this is complete they will apply the changes to Mackenzie Davidson's apparatus. 11 August 1917
