Passport, issued by G G Keble, Fort St. George, on behalf of Henry Kater Permitting the bearer 'to pass without molestation', issued at Madras [Chennai], India, to Lieutenant Henry Kater of H.M 12th Regiment of Foot. The document allowed the bearer to travel to the Malabar Coast, 'On a geographical Survey in the Peninsula'.
