Letter from George Clerk, Admiralty, to 'My Dear Sir' [Henry Kater] He has received a letter from the Assistant Secretary of the Treasury informing him that the Lords of the Treasury have authorised the sum of £1,000 to be paid to Kater, on his application, for preparing the new standard weights and measures.
