<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Robarts, Lubbock & Company</dc:title>
<dc:description>In a letter dated 25 May 1882, the Royal Society's Treasurer, John Evans, wrote requesting the Messrs to purchase £5000 'L. & N.W.R.' consolidated preference stock. The dividends on this appear to have been credited always to the Fee Reduction Fund, but Rix cannot find any authority for their being so credited and asks for an explanation. </dc:description>
