Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Smith, Sons & Oakley The Royal Society's Mablethorpe tenant has given notice to quit and nominate a new tenant. Rix is directed by Dr [John] Evans, Treasurer, to request the Messrs to take the necessary steps in ascertaining the desirability of letting the farm to Mr Edward Howard, the proposed tenant in question. Encloses Evans' letter and that of Mr Tom Eve and asks for their return [no enclosure]. 15 October 1886
