<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Thomas Edward Thorpe</dc:title>
<dc:description>Varley is writing again to Rix about his unpaid account [relating to the 1886 eclipse expedition]. Rix understood from Thorpe that he would put this matter straight. The Royal Society has paid one account for carbon resistances and Thorpe, Captain [William de Wiveleslie] Abney, or whoever must pay the other. If they have severally paid the wrong accounts, the differences must be handed from Thorpe to the Society or visa versa.</dc:description>
