Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Horne, Son & Eversfield, Great George Street Mr Taylor of the Office of Works advises Rix to apply to the Messrs concerning the Royal Society's boiler which has been replaced. Rix wishes to know if they will sell the old boiler by private tender. They are anxious to have it removed as soon as possible as it presently obstructs the roadway. 24 January 1887
