Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to R W Young, Canadian Institute, Toronto Young's letter of 31 March 1886 asking for a grant of the Philosophical Transactions was duly received. Rix is sorry that no opportunity had arisen to consider the application in Library Committee until recently and regrets to say that the Canadian Institute cannot be added to the continually increasing list of Institutions entitled to the 'Transactions [of the Royal Society]'. 2 February 1887
