Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Thomas Edward Thorpe, Fellow of the Royal Society Rix is directed to notify Thorpe of a complaint from the Science and Art Department that an equatorial telescope lent for the use of the recent Eclipse Expedition, was returned imperfect, the reading microscope of the hour circle being missing. Rix finds this telescope was in Thorpe's use and wonders if he might know of the items whereabouts. 22 March 1887
