Copy letter from Herbert Rix, Dr Sydney Howard Vines, Fellow of the Royal Society At their last meeting the President and Council resolved that £25 be granted to Vines from the Donation Fund on behalf of Mr Vaizey for his investigations into the histology and morphology of mosses in particular and of the Muscineae in general. A cheque foe this amount will be forwarded to Vines in a few days. 13 June 1887
