<dc:title>Copy letter from Michael Foster, to Robert Hunt, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Foster's letter of the 14 addressed to Rix was considered by the Council at their last meeting and it was agreed that, if Foster had no objection, his name might be placed upon the free list, and his annual subscription paid from the Scientific Relief Fund.

Rix is sure the Fellows would be very sorry to loose from their midst one who has for 33 years been connected with the Society and although the 'stern contingencies of old age' of which Foster speaks cannot be removed, it is hoped that any other necessities may be met in this way, and that Foster will allow the Officers to retain his name upon the list. </dc:description>
