Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to F Champion, Brighton The Treasurer, John Evans, asks Rix to inform Champion that the following resolution was passed by the Council of the Royal Society last session, that the Treasurer is authorized to pay to Mr [David] Carrington a sum not exceeding £30, the payment to be repeated annually during Mr Carrington's lifetime until otherwise determined. No arrangement has yet been made concerning to whom the money shall be handed. 10 October 1887
