Copy letter from Dr Michael Foster, to W Hayden, 3 Little London, Chichester Hayden's letter of 29th January was laid before the President and Council at their meeting on the 22nd and Foster is instructed to reply that the Council does not take the initiative in the election of scientific men as Fellows of the Society; its work is limited to making a selection from among names nominated by individual Fellows of the Society. 25 February 1895
