Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Manager, Bank of Scotland, Edinburgh In answer to an memorandum from Rix enquiring as to an entry for four shillings in the Society's pass-book, Messrs Lloyd's answer that Mr N P Meldrum per the Bank of Scotland, paid short by four shillings on the 18th March [part of letter faded to illegibility]. Mr Meldrum's annual contribution should be £4 not £4-4-0. The original payment was right. Asks if the Manager can throw any light on this small query. 23 September 1895
