<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir John Evans</dc:title>
<dc:description>Sir Joseph Lister has just been in to the Society and says he has learnt that the principal funeral in honour of Pasteur is to be on the 25th. Lister had previously decided not to attend the centenary of the Institute but the fact that Pasteur's funeral will take place at the same date has led him to alter his decision. Lister is happy to represent the Society at either or both these occasions. Rix asks to know how to reply to Lister. As a postscript Rix asks Evans to send a line to Sir Joseph [Hooker].</dc:description>
