<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr James Whitbread Lee Glaisher, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Asks if Glaisher is likely to be in town in the course of a few days as the Society has a manuscript translation of the 'Principia' which appears to be of some interest. It has been in the Society's custody for several weeks on approbation and the man who sends it presses for its return. Rix is anxious Glaisher should see it before they decide whether to purchase or return it. The first page may be in Newton's hand. The whole manuscript is certainly much prior to Motte's translation. </dc:description>
