<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt], [Royal Society]</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'My Lord,
Dr [Michael] Foster has seen Dr [Norman Macleod] Ferrers and he has instructed us to set up by way of abstract a summary contained in Mr McAuley's paper. Prof. [Professor Arthur Mason] Worthington telegraphs this morning asking that his paper may be postponed, so I have stopped it in the "Times" advertisement, but the printed cards had already been posted.
