<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir John Evans, Treasurer, Royal Society</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'Dear Sir John,
At the last Council it was ordered that a portion of the Standing Orders should be replaced, namely, that portion which is to be considered at the next Council. Dr [Michael] Foster wishes me to ask you whether we had not better print all the Standing Orders for the benefit of the new members of Council. They run to nine pages and are not now standing in type.
Yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.</dc:description>
