<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Drake & Gorham</dc:title>
 <dc:description>'Dear Sirs,
Prof. [Professor William Chandler] Roberts-Austen is to deliver the Bakerian Lecture on Thursday next. He will have some apparatus on a stand near our lantern, and a sufficient length of lead is required to carry round from along the floor or the pillars to the experimental table on the dias. Will you please send up a pair of small leads enough for the purpose. It will require at least 25 yards.
Yrs [Yours] truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.</dc:description>
