Copy letter from Michael Foster, to the Chairman, Marine Biological Association Foster, as directed by the President and Council of the Royal Society, informs the Chairman that they have granted him 100 pounds from the Donation Fund of the Society to aid his Association in the purchase of a steam yacht for trawling. They have taken this step in the belief that the possession of such a vessel will be a valuable aid to its investigations. 24 February 1896
