  <dc:description>'Dear Sir,
In answer to your letter of the 13th inst. [instant], we are not permitted to lend the blocks of illustrations in the "Proceedings [of the Royal Society]" but we can, if you please, furnish you with electrotypes of the blocks at your own expense. The cost of these is trifling, and, upon hearing from you, I shall be pleased to order same from our printers.
I am, yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.</dc:description>
