<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Edward Albert Schafer, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'Dear Sir,
The only paper by Dr Mellus which I can find in our Register was communicated to the Society last May. You were one of the referees, and recommended its publication in the "Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]" but in a very modified form, with the omission of about 100 pages of the text and a large number of figures. The paper was ultimately placed in the Archives.
Yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.</dc:description>
