<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to A T Everitt, High Street, Portsmouth</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'Dear Sir,
In answer to your letter of the 28th inst. [instant], all that we can tell you about G. T. [George Trenchard] Goodenough is that he was elected a Fellow of the Society on December 6, 1787, and "admitted" on December 20 of the same year. At the time of his election he was described as residing at "Somerset Street, Portman Square", but of the place of his birth we know nothing.
I am, yours faithfully,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.</dc:description>
