<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Rev John Sharp, Horton House, Rugby</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'Dear Sir,
I received your note of April 13th containing the sad news of your father's death [William Sharp]. He was, I think, the oldest Fellow on our list in point of age and the oldest but three in point of election. I have, perhaps, to thank you for the newspaper received this morning containing an obituary notice of him. We are very glad to have it to preserve in our scrap-book in memory of one of the patriarchs of the Society. His death will be announced at the Council next Thursday.
Believe me, Dear Sir, yours very faithfully,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. RS. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.</dc:description>
