<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to William Turner Thiselton Dyer, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'Dear Sir,
In reply to your letter of Saturday, I much regret the delay which has occurred in forwarding the invitations for the Soiree to your staff. As I have only been in office a week and am not yet familiar with the machinery of the place, I am afraid I am not in a position to give you any further explanation of the omission than that it was a pure oversight, occurring at a time of great pressure of work, and can only remedy it by sending the cards off at once, as has been done, and express my regret for the occurence.
I am, faithfully yours,
Robt Harrison
Asst. Sec R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.</dc:description>
