<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Mr J E Harting, [Assistant Secretary of the Linnean Society]</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'Dear Mr Harting,
This is to introduce Mr Collings, who for many years past has done a large part of the illustrations on wood and by zincograph for our "Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]" and "Proceedings [of the Royal Society]". He excells the ordinary engraver in as much as he generally understands what he is about, since he has a fair acquaintance with some branches of science.
I am, yours faithfully,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.</dc:description>
