<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Asks for Foster's instructions regarding the following matters.

Inclosed is Professor [Edward Albert Sharpey-]Schafer's explanation of his postponement of the Committee, but Harrison has told Schafer that the day of the Soirée is impossible.

The refreshment Sub-Committee is summoned to meet next Monday at 4.30 and consists of the Treasurer [John Evans], Professor [William Chandler] Roberts-Austen and Mr [William Henry] Preece. Harrison would have assumed that Foster was ex-officio on all Committees, but that does not seem an established principal.

A letter from the Admiralty gives particulars of the dates when a ship of the Training Squadron will convey the party of observers for the eclipse to Vadso and Harrison is communicating this to Professor [Herbert Hall] Turner.

Asks if Foster objects to his sending a note on the International Catalogue Conference as to the dinner, reception and date to the 'Times', 'Nature' and the 'Ahenaeum'. [No attachments].</dc:description>
