<dc:title>Copy letter from Michael Foster, to Professor William Carmichael McIntosh, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'Dear McIntosh,
I hear that a paper on the Salmon and another on Fusion in Nemerteans has come in from Dr Alex Brown, but I have not yet seen them. Will you communicate them? I gather that Fusion is intended for Phil. Trans. ['Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'] and that the Summary on p.20 of Ms [manuscript] will serve as an abstract. But I do not know what is the intention with regard to the Salmon. Is this intended as a preliminary notice only, or for Proceedings and does it deal with the work concerning which Nole Paton wrote me some time ago?
Believe me, ever yours,
M. FOSTER'.</dc:description>
