<dc:title>Copy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Joseph Norman Lockyer</dc:title>
<dc:description>The Council decided today to ask Rucker if he would be good enough to open the discussion on stellar spectra on 25th March.

Asks Lockyer to send the manuscript of his paper as soon as possible so that it maybe set up and circulated. Rucker proposes to write to [William] Crookes, [Arthur] Schuster, [Robert Stawell] Ball, Newall and [William de Wiveleslie ] Abney, to ask them to take part.

If there is anyone else Lockyer would like to ask, Rucker asks that Lockyer does so himself or sends Rucker a list. Asks if there is anyone to whom Lockyer would like his paper sent before the meeting. Rucker shall take no steps till he hears from Lockyer that he agrees to the 25th.</dc:description>
