<dc:title>Copy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Michael Foster [Secretary, Royal Society]</dc:title>
<dc:description>As Rucker hears that [Michael] Foster is on the way home, he encloses a letter from Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt, not attached].

There are about 14 'Elder Brethren' who are not Fellows including the Duke of Richmond and a number of Captain's. Rucker hardly sees his way to send an invitation [to the Soiree] to the lot without consulting Foster.

In Foster's absence Rucker has made up a strong list of physical papers for the first meeting. </dc:description>
