Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to William Henry Preece, Fellow of the Royal Society Professor [William Edward] Ayrton has been prevailed on to give a short lecture in the Meeting Room next Wednesday as there is a dearth of Meeting Room Exhibits. Ayrton requires 20 amperes of alternating current. If possible, for conveniences sake, they wish to obtain the current off the leads at the Post Office in Burlington House. If Preece can secure that this will be done, the Society's electrician will take up the leads at the Meeting Room windows and notify the Office of Works. 14 May 1897
