<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Silvanus Phillips Thompson, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Asks for Thompson's wishes about the manner in which the figures of his 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' paper on cathode rays should be reproduced. Has obtained estimates from the Society's engraver on the assumption that they may appear as blocks in the text. If so reproduced, Harrison queries the size and wonders if all the figures should be reproduced on the same scale. In which case he wonders if Thompson would approve of a reduction throughout to two thirds, which would seem large enough to save £2 or £3. </dc:description>
