<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Frank McClean, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>By the same mail the Society are sending McClean proofs of two of the plates accompanying his 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' paper. Although McClean is absent from England, Professor [Arthur William] Rucker thought they should make a start with the engraving. They therefore saw Mr Perry last month and he took two plates to work from as first samples. Proofs of these are now sent for approval [not attached]. Explains why the originals cannot be sent. They do not propose putting any more plates in hand until they have heard from McClean about the proofs. </dc:description>
