<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert Bellamy Clifton, to the President, Comitato Malpighi, Crevalcore</dc:title>
<dc:description>Clifton is directed by the President of the Royal Society [Lord Lister] on behalf of the Fellows, to present friendly greetings on the auspicious occasion of the erection of a monument to the great man of science, Marcello Malpighi. Fellows of today call to mind with pride that the Society had the privilege of printing most of Malpighi's works, and of otherwise assisting him, that he was a member of the Society, and that the ties between it and him were many and strong.

The President is unavoidably prevented from accepting the Comitato's invitation but the Society hopes the Comitato will receive Dr D H Scott as its representative.</dc:description>
