Copy letter from Michael Foster, to Dr Philip Lutley Sclater, Fellow of the Royal Society The President and Council at their meeting yesterday resolved to make from their publication a grant of £100 in aid of the publication of the 'Index Animalium'. They leave it to Sclater's Committee to decide on they exact way in which the money should be expended. The money is given on the understanding that the 'Index' will ultimately be published. 18 June 1897
