Copy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Dr R Copeland care of W A Nedham, Commissioner, Nagpur Copeland's application for a further grant in aid of his expenses in making observations in India of the approaching Solar Eclipse was further considered by the Council at their last meeting, together with a report from the Joint Permanent Eclipse Committee. The Committee does not feel able to recommend the Council to make a direct grant to an individual observer and the Council have decided to act upon said report. 17 December 1897
