I have no knowledge of any such communications as Mr Chamberlain refers to have been received here.

2) I have read no further information as to title for next Thursday. If I get nothing further by Monday morning I must send to the Printers and suppose I must make up the said as follows:-

The Astronomer Royal: Preliminary Reports of the Eclipse observers
Sir J Norman Lockyer: Preliminary account of the observations made by the help of the offices and crew of H.M.S. "Melpomene" at Viziadrug.
