<dc:title>Copy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Alfred Bray Kempe, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Believes Sir John Evans will communicate with Kempe regarding the Gassiot Trust. Sends herewith a copy of the letter of the Treasury to the Royal Society, and a copy of the Report of the Committee [no enclosures]. The only point of difficulty that Rucker can see is that Mr Galton informs him that the Trust contains the condition that the Observatory and[?] the Trust Fund are to be under the entire control of a Committee, appointed from time to time by the Royal Society, with the suggestion that the Secretary of the Board of Trade shall be an ex-officio member. Asks for Kempe's opinion as he may issue a memorandum to the Members of Council before they meet. </dc:description>
