In reply to letter from Captain Hills, in respect of the recent Eclipse the President and Council of the Royal Society are willing that the reports of others than those sent out directly by the Committee should be published with the rest of the Reports in the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' as arranged. This is provided that the President and Council have the opportunity to check that the reports are of sufficient scientific value as the other papers in the 'Philosophical Transactions'. 21 January 1899
