<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor H Marshall Ward, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Both referees' reports on Dr Sturgis' paper on the Soil Bacillus, which Ward communicated, are favourable to its publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. The Chairman of the Sectional Committee concurs with the Secretary in proposing to proceed with its publication under the powers conferred upon them by the Standing Orders.

One of the referees suggests that the author should be requested to add to the paper a description and illustrations of the flagella of his bacillus and give it a distinct name. With the absence of the author, asks if Ward is able to supply the ommission. </dc:description>
