Referring to recent correspondence on the subject of the proposed fixing of a hydrant on the premises of 72 Wharton Road and to the Company's letter to the Treasurer [of the Royal Society] enclosing a copy of remarks by Messrs Smith, Son & Oakley. The Officers concur with the first two provisoes but have issues with the third. Also thinks that the tenant's consent should be obtained. Retains the County Council's plans. 5 January 1899
